[eco]- mag offers design-focused audiences the tools to connect with scientific topics. While the magazine is mostly visual, each section is directly linked to peer-reviewed academic source related to the topic. Beyond its role in making science more accessible, [eco]- is a source of inspiration for artists and designers, providing innovative methods for visualizing data. Issue 01, flux, is about movement. This magazine was a collaboration between myself, linnea sullivan and nina lu.Custom laser-cut acrylic binder, printed on 11 x 14 60gsm paper and acetate

<growth>
Growth is movement over time. I represented this concept through a fungal growth mapped in wireframes (left) and rendered 3d space (right). As you flip through the pages, the fungal growth extends off the page.

<fluid dynamics>
Fluid dynamics is a branch of physics that studies the movement of fluids including liquids, gases, and plasmas. These pages represent the study of fluid dynamics through a simulation of vehicle movement. I carried out these simulations using a software designed for engineers.
